Movie Hype

Ok, so I don't usually get involved in all the movie hype, unless of course I am the one in the movie, as an extra or small part.  This is DC after all.  We are much too sedate here in the Nation's capital.  However, Transformers 3 is shooting here in town for the next few days and I am going to stay downtown after work, my husband is bringing the twins, and we are going to watch the filming over on the mall.  If I can get a glimpse of McDreamy, I will be perfectly happy fight traffic for the rest of the week!

I did not see the first two Transformer movies, but I did watch the cartoon as a child and I had a lot of the toys, including Decepticon (sp).  But since I don't have class tonight, I figured it would be a nice evening to spend on the mall with the kids anyway.

SuperMom Drowning in Academia

I am  halfway through my first semester in graduate school.  I am doing ok as far as keeping up with assignments.  But one of my professor's is very nice but very new at my Grad School U.  He forgets when students are supposed to present articles or assignments we e-mail him.  Grad School is definitely an every man for himself institution, so to speak.  Which is ok by me, I'm just glad I have discovered this early on.  It has been hard to fit in time to rotate through all of the labs to see which one I want to work in for my thesis.  Not every professor has availability to meet with me on Fridays or in the evening.  I am glad I have my trusty day planner or I would not be able to keep track of the labs I need to be in!  At least my husband brings the twins with him when he picks me up for the bus.  I get to put them to sleep in their beds on nights I have school as well.

No one has put an offer down on our house!!!  We need to get into a bigger house, closer to work.  I am going crazy with the 3 hour commuting.  I know it could be worse but I am reaching my limit.  I may move back in with my mom to be closer to work and school.
